 Rome's
second airport with Hertz car hire offices is Ciampino
Inernational Airport. The airport is located to the south
east of the city about 10 miles from Rome city centre
at the town of Ciampino. Hertz provide a wide choice of
vehicles from the airport ranging from economy city cars,
such as the Fiat Panda, to luxury prestige saloons such
as the Mercedes E Class. For the family and larger parties
Hertz provide estate cars, people-carriers and minibuses.
Rome Ciampino Airport used to be the main airport for
Rome but has now been superceded by the larger Fiumicino
- Leonardo da Vinci Airport which opened in 1961. Ciampino
now has passenger traffic of around 5 million per year
and airlines flying in from United Kingdom airports include
easyJet and Ryanair. The airport has excellent communications
being located on the A90 motorway, Rome's Greater Ring
Road.

parks in front of the airport buildings and are easily
