 Trieste
Airport is situated about 30 miles to the north-west of
the city of Trieste in the far north-east of Italy, near
the border with Slovenia. The airport's correct title
is Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport or in full: Friuli –
Venezia Giulia "Pietro Savorgnan di Brazza"
Airport in honour of the Italian explorer of the 19th
century. However, understandably, it is more often referred
to as Trieste Airport by airlines and online services.
The airport handles over 1 million passengers each year
and has a modern passenger terminal with a full range
of facilities including bars, restaurants, boutiques and
duty-free shops. Passenger services include a bank, first-aid
post, disabled facilities and a post office. Trieste Airport
has extensive car parking areas for both long- and medium-stay
parking and there are short-stay places in front of the
Terminal.
Hertz provide car rental services from the airport and
their offices are located in the main Passenger Terminal.
On leaving the Arrivals Baggage Claim customers will find
them directly in front of them to the left of the terminal
entrance. The car rental car parks are to the west of
the terminal building about 100m from the entrance. Hertz
provide a wide selection of car hire vehicles from Trieste
Airport with models to suit all travellers' requirements.
The majority of cars come with air-conditioning and child
seats and boosters are available as and option as well
as ski-adaptations for winter travellers. Bookings for
