Venice
Airport is situated on the Italian mainland about 8 miles
from the city of Venice which is accessed via the Ponte
della Liberta bridge. The airport is the main airport
for the popular tourist destination of Venice and handles
over around 7 million passengers each year with people
travelling from all over the world to view the canals
and palaces of this iconic Italian city. Passenger numbers
flying from the United Kingdom are just under 1 million

The new main passenger terminal of Venice airport was
opened in 2002 and provides a range of first-class facilities
for arriving and departing passengers. The Arrivals area
is on the ground floor and hosts the baggage claim and
a range of services including cafes, the Hertz car hire
desks, lost and found and first aid centres. The Departure
area is on the first floor with 60 check-in desks and
two departure lounges: the Tintoretto Lounge and the Marco
Polo Room. There is a range of restaurants, bars, cafes
and shops plus all the facilities one might expect from
a world-class international airport.

Hertz Venice Airport have their offices in the ground
floor Arrivals area and provide a full range of rental
vehicles to suit all travellers' requirements. For those
travelling on a budget, Hertz provide small econony hatchbacks
such as Fiat Pandas and Lancia Ypsilons as well as small
family cars such as the Ford Focus hatchback and estate.
Hertz also provide 6 and 7 seater people carriers for
larger groups and for those looking for something more
exclusive there are Mercedes, sports cars and convertibles.
