 Treviso's
location only 20 miles from the popular tourist destination
of Venice makes it the ideal location for the city's second
airport. Treviso Airport is on the south-western outskirts
of the city of Treviso under 3 miles from the city-centre.
Apart from providing airport services for Venice, the
airport is also in an ideal position for those wishing
to visit the Veneto region and Treviso makes an ideal
base for tourists who do not want to stay in Venice. The
airport is also known as Treviso - Sant'Angelo Airport
and has a new terminal completed in 2007 named after "Antonio
Canova", the Italian 18th century artist.
The airport's main passenger terminal has three floors
with the Arrivals Area being on the ground floor and home
to the car hire offices (including Hertz) and a full range
of passenger facilities including a cafe, first aid centre
and a foreign exchange. The check-in and departure lounge
are on the first floor and host cafes, duty-free shops
and boutiques. The third floor is reserved for the airport
offices.
Hertz provide a full range of car hire vehicles from their
office at Treviso Airport. Cars on offer include small
economy hatchbacks for those travelling on a budget plus
a full selection of larger vehicles including people-carriers,
estate cars, convertibles, automatics and luxury Mercedes.
The Hertz Treviso office opening hours are 0730 to 2230,
7 days a week. Vehicles can be reserved in advance and
early booking is advisable: Hertz offer discounts for
advance booking plus customers can reserve their car of
choice. |
